Lt. Gov. Roberts and Business Leaders to Ask Insurance Commissioner to “Draw Line in the Sand” on Rate Hikes
PROVIDENCE— Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts and business owners from across Rhode Island will gather TOMORROW, June 5 at a meeting of the Rhode Island Business Group on Health to denounce the recently proposed health insurance rate factor hikes are unacceptable, unaffordable and unrealistic.
Earlier this week Lt. Governor Roberts joined business leaders to release a letter to Health Insurance Commissioner Christopher Koller asking him to reject the proposed rate hikes and calling on all involved to hold the line on any rate hikes until the underlying costs of health care have been addresses.
