Cranston, RI – April 21, 2009 -- On Thursday, April 23rd, 2009, the Rhode Island Department of Corrections will conduct an emergency drill, to include Rhode Island Department of Corrections staff, the Rhode Island Emergency Management Association (RIEMA), and Rhode Island Hospital. THIS IS ONLY A DRILL to test our emergency preparedness and response.
Exercise participants may be posted on the roads throughout the Pastore Complex. Weapons will be issued for perimeter security only. The exercise will begin around midday and is scheduled to last for approximately 6 hours.
