The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) Human Resources Office will be posting nearly 90 jobs on the Department of Labor and Training (DLT) website (www.dlt.ri.gov) tomorrow, Thursday, March 19, 2009. These positions will be funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.
Jobs vary from Historic Preservation Specialist/Architectural Historian to Civil Engineer to Senior Word Processing Typist. The complete list of positions will be accessible tomorrow at: http://www.dlt.ri.gov/JobsRI/statejobs.htm.
“RIDOT is pleased to offer this opportunity,” said RIDOT Director Michael P. Lewis. “These jobs not only mean more people will be working, but it also means our roads and bridges will be improving thanks to the additional stimulus financed construction.”
Some positions, such as the Engineering Technician I job, require a Civil Service Exam. The application period for the test ends on Friday, March 27, 2009. More information on this requirement can be found on the DLT website, www.dlt.ri.gov.
The deadline for application for all of these postings is Wednesday, March 25, 2009. For additional information contact RIDOT’s Human Resources Service Center at 401-222-2572.
