PROVIDENCE, RI – The State of Rhode Island Department of Administration, Contractors’ Registration and Licensing Board, has announced that major credit cards will now be accepted for payment of all registration fees, publications, or any outstanding fines completed in person at the Board’s office, located at One Capitol Hill, Providence. In addition to secure credit card payments, customers will continue to have the options of paying by check or money order.
“We’re pleased to offer our customers this new service, as many have requested this capability,” explained the Board’s Executive Director George Whalen. “It offers increased convenience for those companies and individuals we serve. It also offers our staff increased efficiency and security, meaning we can complete transactions more quickly and spend more time on other administrative responsibilities.”
The Contractors’ Registration and Licensing Board has teamed with RI.gov, the official provider of state Web sites and services, to provide at-the-counter credit card payments. No taxpayer dollars were spent to develop, host, or manage the service based on RI.gov’s unique self-funded partnership with the state.
Customers may also use debit cards for in person payments at the Board, provided a major credit card logo is displayed on the card.
