PROVIDENCE— Lt. Gov. Elizabeth H. Roberts will read children's stories as a guest reader at the Junior League of Rhode Island’s Karla Harry Memorial Storyteller Event, for Children’s Friend and Services Family Support Center, THURSDAY, February 19th, at 1:00 p.m.
The Junior League of Rhode Island is honoring the memory of one of their members, Karla Harry, formerly the librarian of the Gordon School and longtime advocate for children’s literacy, with the storytelling event to benefit Children’s Friend and Services. Noted Rhode Island storyteller Len Cabral will be the featured storyteller, and Lt. Gov. Roberts will join other guest speakers who will read to children and families at the event.
Children's Friend and Services Family Support Center provides child welfare, family support, mental health and youth development services for Rhode Island families.
