On Friday, April 18, 2025, at approximately 2:30pm, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Isaiah Mendez, age 23, of 57 Berkshire Street, Providence, Rhode Island for; License or Permit Required to Carry a Pistol. This arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by members of the HIDTA Task Force. Mr. Mendez was transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing, was special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, then released pending future 6th District Court dates.
On April 18, 2025, at approximately 1:30 PM, members of the Auto Theft Unit arrested Miguel Ortiz, age 34, of LKA 79 Wood Avenue Apt. 7, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, for: 1) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses; 2) Forgery and Counterfeiting; 3) Larceny > $10,000.00; 4) Conspiracy, and Receiving Goods
