As part of ongoing improvements to Putnam Pike (Route 44) and Reservoir Road in Glocester, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) is scheduled to close Reservoir Road, from Putnam Pike to South Main Street, weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for approximately one month, starting on Monday, July 8.
Access will remain for local traffic, but northbound traffic will be detoured using Money Hill Road/South Main Street (Route 100). Southbound traffic will not be affected. RIDOT will mill and pave the road and install guardrail and new signs and striping.
All construction projects are subject to changes in schedule and scope depending on needs, circumstances, findings and weather.
The Putnam Pike and Reservoir Road pavement project is made possible by RhodeWorks and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. RIDOT is committed to bringing Rhode Island's infrastructure into a state of good repair while respecting the environment and striving to improve it. Learn more at www.ridot.net/RhodeWorks.
