The Complainant alleged the Department violated the APRA when it denied his request for Department records relating to a call made to the Department regarding a specific private citizen's residence. The Department denied the Complainant's request on the grounds that disclosure of the requested records would constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy. After conducting an in camera review, this Office found that disclosure of the requested records would implicate a privacy interest and that we were not presented with evidence of a public interest that would outweigh the privacy interest implicated. Accordingly, we found no violation.
