CRANSTON, R.I. – March 8, 2007 – A.T. Wall, II, director of the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, is pleased to announce that the Department’s revised website has now “gone live.” The site, which can be found at www.doc.ri.gov, has been redesigned to follow the RI.gov. website template used by many other state agencies and to include more in-depth information about the Department, its services, personnel, and programs.
“Thanks to the dedication and perseverance of members of my staff working closely with RI.gov, we now have a website we can be proud of and which we hope will be more user-friendly for those seeking information about the Department in the high tech age in which we are living,” notes Director Wall.
Visitors to the revised site will find answers to frequently asked questions, directions to the Pastore Complex, copies of all public policies of the Department, contact information, and much more. Each of the three divisions within the Department – Administration, Rehabilitative Services, and Institutions/Operations, has its own pages, as does the Director’s Office. Helpful information for victims, informative statistics, links to related sites, and guidance on how to apply for employment all have a place on the new RIDOC website.
