The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) recommends the closure of Conimicut Point Beach in Warwick for swimming due to high bacteria levels. The following beaches are currently closed for swimming:
- Briar Point Beach in Coventry - Burlingame Picnic Area and Camp Watchaug in Charlestown - Conimicut Point Beach in Warwick - Easton's Beach in Newport - Kent County YMCA Upper and Lower Ponds in Warwick
RIDOH will continue to monitor the water quality regularly to assure safe bathing throughout the beach season. The status of a beach may change as new data become available.
