PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) in partnership with Indie Cycle is hosting an e-waste collection event at Goddard Park today.
What: E-waste Recycling Drop-off
Where: Goddard Park Farmers Market 145 Ives Road, Warwick
When: Friday, June 21 9 AM – 1 PM
Items accepted at no charge include computers, laptops, monitors, televisions, routers, PDAs, cell phones, mice, keyboards, inkjet printers, toner cartridges, CD and DVD players, radios, network equipment, wires, stereos, plastic speakers, telephones, microwaves, small household appliances, auto/marine batteries, and battery back-ups.
A $10 disposal fee applies to each laser-jet printer, air conditioner, dehumidifier, and other devices containing coolants. Items not accepted include light bulbs, household batteries, tapes/disks, glass, broken TV tubes, wooden-boxed speakers, Styrofoam, or any hazardous waste materials.
