On January 7, 2019, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Ana Melendez Santana with one count of possession of more than one kilogram of cocaine and one count of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, arising from her arrest by the Rhode Island State Police on November 1, 2018.
Following her arrest, Melendez Santana was held without bail. She is scheduled to be arraigned on February 1, 2019 in Kent County Superior Court.
