The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) will close multiple lanes of I-95 North tomorrow night, Tuesday, July 24, for survey work following repair to an area of settled pavement near the Park Avenue overpass in Cranston.
The work is part of a study of subsurface conditions that contributed to the settlement, which required a temporary repair in early June. When the analysis is complete, RIDOT will announce its findings and schedule permanent repairs to prevent the settlement from reoccurring.
By 11:30 p.m., only one lane of travel will be open on the right side of the highway between the Route 37/Jefferson Boulevard interchange (Exits 14-15) in Warwick and the Route 10/Elmwood Avenue interchange (Exit 16) in Cranston. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m., prior to the morning commute on Wednesday.
