Treasurer Magaziner tomorrow will convene the fourth meeting of the Rhode Island Financial Empowerment Roundtable, bringing together stakeholders from government, non-profits, education, businesses, and banking to network and share ideas on how to expand financial empowerment in the Ocean State.
"Economic prosperity for Rhode Islanders is directly tied to empowering ourselves and our families with financial knowledge," said Treasurer Magaziner. "As the financial system has grown increasingly complex, we know that the personal finance decisions we make have long-lasting consequences. Financial literacy is a tool to achieve economic security and can help protect against fraud and predatory banking practices."
Representatives from organizations across the State are expected to attend tomorrow's roundtable. In addition to Treasurer Magaziner, other presenters at tomorrow's Roundtable include the CFA Society of Providence and Coastway Community Bank.
