The State of Rhode Island Receives National Accreditation for the Emergency Management Program
What: The State Rhode Island will receive their National Emergency Management Standard Accreditation from the Emergency Management Accreditation Program, an independent nonprofit organization. The accreditation is given to a local, state, federal, educational, or tribal emergency management program that meet the 64-standard requirement across 16 functional areas. The accreditation process includes a self-assessment, a verification of the appropriate plans, policies and credentials, and an evaluation of the emergency management program by a volunteer group of emergency management professionals across the country.
