The Kent County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Timothy Carroll with two counts of burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, two counts of tampering with a motor vehicle, one count of entering a building with felonious intent, one count of conspiracy to enter a building with felonious intent, and one count of larceny under $1,500.
The Kent County Grand Jury also returned secret indictments charging Jarred Demelo with one count of entering a building with felonious intent and one count of conspiracy to enter a building with felonious intent; and charging Dawn Carroll with one count of obstruction of a police officer, one count of receiving stolen goods under $1,500, and one count of misprision of a felony.
It is alleged that on or about September 11, 2017, Timothy Carroll, along with an unindicted juvenile co-conspirator, burglarized two homes in Warwick and tampered with two motor vehicles located therein.
It is further alleged that on or about the same day, Timothy Carroll and Jarred Demelo conspired to and did break into and enter a building with the intent to commit larceny and did steal bicycles valued at less than $1,500. It is also alleged that Dawn Carroll obstructed police conducting the investigation into the burglaries and further was in possession of a stolen Samsung television valued at less than $1,500.
After the indictments were reported out, arrest warrants were issued for Jarred Demelo and Dawn Carroll. Demelo was arrested this morning and arraigned in Kent County Superior Court. Dawn Carroll was arrested and arraigned on November 29, 2017. Timothy Carroll, who is currently being held without bail, is scheduled to be arraigned in Kent County Superior Court on December 8, 2017.
