David Deleon (age 20) 112 Gordon Avenue Providence, R.I. P1-2017-1373AG
The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging David Deleon with one count of murder, one count of discharge of a firearm while committing a crime of violence, one count of failure to report a death, one count of possession of a firearm without a license, one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, one count of possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance, and one count of mutilation of a human body, based on incidents that took place in Providence.
It is alleged that on or about November 20, 2016, Deleon shot and killed Dakota Gosselin. It is further alleged that Deleon failed to report the death and dismembered the body in an effort to dispose of it. At the time of the incident, is also alleged that Deleon was in possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver while also in possession of an illegal firearm.
The alleged incidents took place in Providence and Lincoln. Providence Police led the investigation with assistance from Lincoln Police and the Rhode Island State Police. Deleon is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court before Judge Robert D. Krause on May 31, 2017.
