PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Lt. Governor McKee will kick off a '39 Farms Tour' of Rhode Island on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Sunset Farm in Narragansett. This will mark the beginning of McKee's statewide tour of a farm or farm-related small business in all 39 cities and towns in Rhode Island.
Throughout the tour, McKee, joined by municipal leaders and General Assembly members, will have an opportunity to learn about local agriculture and to hear directly from our farmers how we can best support them in the Ocean State.
The 39 Farms Tour is part of McKee's mission to connect with community members and small businesses owners in all 39 cities and towns. The '39 initiative' kicked off last summer when McKee visited a locally owned coffee shop in every community to discuss small business issues as part of his 39 Cups of Coffee Tour.
Rhode Islanders can follow the Lt. Governor on the 39 Farms Tour on Twitter and Facebook using #39Farms.
