Today, Lt. Governor McKee issued the following statement on Governor Raimondo's Rhode Island Promise Scholarship proposal:
"The Rhode Island Promise Scholarship will be a game changer for the local economy. By providing our young adults with an affordable path to a college degree, we are investing in their futures and the future of Rhode Island. This program will give our millennials another reason to anchor right here in the Ocean State to begin their professional careers, open their businesses and raise their families. I applaud Governor Raimondo for taking this bold step towards creating a stronger Rhode Island and I look forward to working with her to advance public education in our state," McKee said.
