PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Lt. Governor Daniel J. McKee announced today that Paulette Hamilton will join the Office of the Lieutenant Governor as a Policy Advisor beginning the first week of January 2017. Hamilton will fill a position previously held by Andrew Allsopp.
Hamilton brings a wealth of municipal and policy experience having served as North Smithfield Town Administrator for the past eight years. During that time, she was an active participant in the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns and the Rhode Island Coalition of Municipal Leaders. From 1999-2010, Paulette was an Instructor and Corporate Trainer at Bryant University's Center for Executive Development.
Hamilton will oversee policy in a number of key areas including small business, public education and municipal government with an emphasis on strategies for creating efficiency while maintaining effectiveness in Rhode Island's cities and towns.
