The Rhode Island Department of Transportation Office on Highway Safety (OHS) today announced the recipients of the 2015 Highway Safety Champion Awards. The awards recognize law enforcement officers for their outstanding performance in carrying out speed, occupant-protection, and alcohol-impaired enforcement activities sponsored by RIDOT last year.
Fourteen officials from nine different agencies will be recognized for their work during RIDOT-funded highway safety campaigns.
