PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Governor Gina M. Raimondo outlined the urgent need to stop Rhode Island's decline and spark a comeback, so that every hardworking person can make it in Rhode Island. Today, Raimondo shared the approach and analysis she has undertaken to understand Rhode Island's bleak economic outlook and the tough choices that lay ahead.
"Today, I outlined the challenges we face, how significant they are and what caused them. We are enduring the results of not investing in job growth and not having a strategic economic plan," Governor Raimondo said. "My focus is on jobs - how to create them, how to grow them and how to support them in order to expand opportunities for Rhode Island families. Job growth will lead to increased revenues for our state."
