PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Governor Gina M. Raimondo released the following statement following President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address:
"President Obama put forward an opportunity-focused agenda in his State of the Union Address this evening that puts working families first and continues to restore our nation's economy. Here in Rhode Island, we share the President's commitment to providing opportunities for everyone.
"We look forward to working with the President and his team to implement ways to rebuild our infrastructure, raise our minimum wage, invest in higher education and job training, and prepare Rhode Islanders to build the skills needed for 21st Century jobs, especially in advanced manufacturing.
"His bold strategy will help us achieve Rhode Island's comeback."
