The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) is urging motorists to drive with caution this afternoon, as forecasts call for snow squalls to cross the state after 2 p.m. The snowfall is expected to be scattered and brief in duration but could still result in reduced visibility and slippery conditions.
Following yesterday's storm, all state roads have been treated; however, even a light coating of snow could create slick conditions on some roadways given the arctic temperatures. Motorists should drive with reduced speeds and allow extra time for travel.
