The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) will temporarily close the right lane on I-295 North just before Exit 10 (Route 122/Mendon Road) in Cumberland to repair a drainage structure located in a travel lane.
The closure will begin at 9 p.m. and will last until approximately noon on Thursday, July 10. Motorists can expect delays on I-295 North, especially during the morning commute. One lane of I-295 North will remain open, as well as Exit 10. Motorists accessing Mendon Road may wish to consider the following alternate routes:
• Exit 8 for Route 7 North to Route 116 North
• Exit 9 for Route 146 North to Route 99 North
