The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) is working on steel and concrete repairs to a bridge that carries Route 37 over Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick. This project will require extended lane closures on Route 37 East, starting with the right lane, which will be closed between Exit 4B (Route 95 North) and Exit 5A (Post Road) through early October.
WHAT: Traffic on Route 37 East will be restricted to the left two lanes. Delays are expected. During peak travel times, motorists on Route 95 North should seek alternate routes to access Post Road such as Exit 13 (Airport Connector).
WHEN: Wednesday, July 24, at 10 p.m. - early October 2013.
WHERE: Route 37 East in Warwick, from Exit 4B (Route 95 North) to just before Exit 5A (Post Road).
Extended closures of the center and left lanes will also be necessary as the project continues. Work is expected to be completed in April 2014. Motorists with questions should contact RIDOT's Customer Service office at 401-222-2450 weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additional information is available at www.dot.ri.gov, and on RIDOT's social media sites on Twitter and Facebook.
