The following work is scheduled to take place on Rhode Island's Interstate highways from July 5-12, 2013. These closures include full highway and exit closures overnight in Pawtucket and Providence. Highway and Exit Closures
Pawtucket: I-95 NB, from Exit 27 (Downtown) to the Vernon St. on-ramp, highway closed for construction during the early morning hours on Thursday from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. Please follow signed detour using Exit 27.
Pawtucket: I-95 SB, from Exit 27 (Downtown) to the Cedar St. on-ramp, highway closed for construction during the early morning hours on Friday from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. Please follow signed detour using Exit 27.
Pawtucket: I-95 NB at Exit 28 (School St.), exit closed for construction during the early morning hours, Monday-Friday from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should follow detour using Exit 27 or 29.
Providence: I-95 NB at Exit 23 (Rte. 146), State Offices exit closed for construction, Tuesday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. Follow detour using Rte. 146 NB.
Lane Closures
Lincoln/Cumberland: I-295 NB, from Exit 9 (Rte. 146) to Exit 10 (Mendon Rd.), left and right lanes closed for construction, Tuesday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day. Traffic will use the center lane.
Pawtucket: I-95 SB, from Exit 29 (Broadway) to Exit 27 (Downtown), various lane closures for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Providence: I-95 NB, from Exit 20 (Point St.) to Exit 22 (Downtown), right lane closed for construction, Sunday-Wednesday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Providence: I-95 SB, from Exit 22 (Downtown) to Exit 20 (Iway), right lane closed for construction, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Providence: I-95 SB, at Exit 23 (Rte. 146), left lane and shoulder closures for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Warwick: I-95 SB & NB, from Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 9 (Rte. 4), alternating lane closures for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Cranston: I-95 SB, at Exit 14 (Rte. 37) off-ramp, alternating lane and shoulder closures on the ramp for a bridge inspection, Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
