The National Weather Service (NWS) has upgraded the weather outlook for Rhode Island to a winter storm warning. The warning is in effect for the entire state until 7 a.m. Sunday.
The forecast for total snow accumulation remains at four inches to eight inches. Snow is expected to be heaviest and steadiest later this afternoon into early evening. Driving may be difficult, especially on unplowed or untreated roads.
Rhode Islanders should continue to monitor weather forecasts and consider changing non-essential travel plans. If you must be on the road, allow extra time for travel.
