RIEMA will host a hurricane and homeland security conference for local emergency management agencies and other support organizations.

Cranston, RI --- RIEMA has scheduled a Hurricane and Homeland Security Conference for local emergency management agencies and support organizations. Topics will consist of coordination of resources from the State and the 39 cities and towns; to include preparedness, response and recovery initiatives. In addition, RIEMA will highlight planning initiatives in preparation for the 2006 hurricane season and issues related to health, communications, debris management and donations management. RIEMA will also give a brief demonstration on Web EOC, new technology used to increase emergency management efficiency, and accountability. This conference is open to the Media.
