TIVERTON–Tom's Market, in partnership with the RI Department of Labor and Training's Business Workforce Center, plans to hire up to 40 people to staff their newest market opening later this month. A recruitment will be held at the new location, 492 Main Road, Tiverton, on Tuesday, March 13th, from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM and Wednesday, March 14th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Jobs are available both for highly experienced individuals and for those seeking entry-level opportunities. Positions that require prior experience include meat cutters, production cooks, a grocery manager and a produce manager. Cashiers and deli service positions are also available. Positions are full- and part-time. The event is free and open to the public.
Tom's Market, which has stores in Coventry and Warren and a catering operation in Newport, plans to open the Tiverton location on March 27th. Principal Glenn Place states, "The Business Workforce Center helped us screen applicants when we opened our Warren store, and we're eager to have them help us plug the right people into the right jobs in Tiverton."
