THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 4 PM EST WEDNESDAY.
* LOCATIONS...MOST OF MASSACHUSETTS EXTENDING EAST FROM THE EAST SLOPES OF THE BERKSHIRES...ALL OF RHODE ISLAND...NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST CONNECTICUT...CHESHIRE AND HILLSBOROUGH COUNTIES IN NEW HAMPSHIRE.
* HAZARDS...STRONG WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS.
* WINDS...WEST 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.
* TIMING...FROM 4 AM TO 4 PM. STRONGEST WINDS AROUND 1 PM.
* IMPACTS...THESE WINDS WILL BE CAPABLE OF DOWNING TREE LIMBS AND BRANCHES...CAUSING ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES.

A WIND ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BE 31 TO 39 MPH OR GUSTS WILL RANGE BETWEEN 46 AND 57 MPH. WINDS THIS STRONG ARE CAPABLE OF DOWNING SMALL TREE LIMBS AND BRANCHES...POSSIBLY CAUSING ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES. DRIVING CAN ALSO BE DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.
