Providence, RI - President Barack Obama has proclaimed tomorrow, December 7, 2011, the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
The President has urged all Federal agencies and interested organizations, groups, and individuals to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff in honor of those American patriots who died as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor.
Accordingly, Governor Lincoln D. Chafee has ordered that all public buildings in the State of Rhode Island display both the U.S. and Rhode Island flags at half-staff on December 7.
