Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) Director Michael P. Lewis will join Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien and other dignitaries on Friday, October 21, 2011 to break ground on the Conant Street Railroad Bridge Replacement Project. The bridge, closed since 1989 due to structural deterioration, is undergoing a complete replacement through a $4.3 million construction contract with Cardi Corporation.
RIDOT Director Michael Lewis will lead the event. Scheduled speakers include: Attorney General Peter Kilmartin; Mayor Donald Grebien; and John J. Partridge from the Pawtucket Foundation.
