PROVIDENCE, R.I. - General Treasurer Gina M. Raimondo today announced three new staff members in the areas of policy, operations and pensions. She has also decided to retain the state’s chief investment officer and to fill the associate director of finance position through an internal promotion.
“I am committed to assembling the strongest team to help me navigate these challenging times in state government,” Raimondo said. “Their dedication and mixture of private and public sector experience will help me implement my broad agenda to get our financial house in order.”
Team members include: Josh Brumberger – Deputy Treasurer, Policy & Financial Empowerment – Prior to joining the office, Brumberger, of Providence, was the chief of staff and senior advisor for Eric Dinallo’s campaign for New York State Attorney General. He also worked for the Fortress Investment Group in New York. From 2002 to 2006, he was a senior staff member on Senator John Edwards’ presidential campaign. He is a graduate of Northeastern University.
Christopher T. Feisthamel – Chief Operating Officer – Feisthamel, of East Greenwich, was previously the principal of Dempsey & Co, a management consulting firm. Prior to founding the business in 2005, he worked at Citizens and Fidelity Investments in operational and CFO roles. He serves on the boards of Preserve Rhode Island, Leadership Rhode Island and the Providence College President’s Council, among other organizations. He is a graduate of Providence College.
Kenneth E. Goodreau – Chief Investment Officer – Goodreau, of East Greenwich, has managed the Treasury’s investments since 2006. Prior to that, he was a general partner and portfolio manager at Knollwood Capital Partners, LLC, a Boston-based investment fund. He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
Melissa Malone – Assistant Director of Member Services, Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island – Malone, of Providence, was previously a senior associate at Taylor Duane Barton & Gilman, LLP and is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She currently serves on the Providence Public School Board. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law and Trinity College.
Patrick Marr – Associate Director of Finance - Marr, of Cranston, was previously a fiscal manager and investment analyst for the Treasury. He is a graduate of Providence College.
