Secretary of State Ralph Mollis, RIEDC Offer Help Managing Mail Costs

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis and the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC) are sponsoring a free workshop designed to help small businesses manage their shipping costs.

Liz Elizardo of the United States Postal Service (USPS) will present "Ship and Save with USPS" Wed., June 9, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at RIEDC, 315 Iron Horse Way, Providence. Learn how to use the USPS website to print shipping labels, order free, eco-friendly shipping supplies, schedule daily pickups and design a direct mail campaign.

Elizardo is a business solutions specialist with 23 years of experience with the USPS, most recently as part of the Small Business Office and Business Development Team. This workshop is co-sponsored by the United States Postal Series, Postal Customer Council of Providence and New Horizons Computer Learning Center.

The seminar is offered through "We Mean Business," which is a joint venture between Mollis' First Stop Business Information Center and Every Company Counts, the small business initiative of RIEDC. We Mean Business connects business owners with the local, state and federal agencies and non-profit organizations that impact their companies.
