The National Weather Service is calling for Winter Storm Watches for northern Connecticut, northwest Rhode Island, the lower elevations of southwest Massachusetts along the I-91 corridor, and the I-93 region from Manchester and Nashua New Hampshire to the Merrimack Valley corridor northwest of Boston.
Snowfall in the Providence to Boston corridor should average an inch or two of slush, with nothing farther to the south and east.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution during the morning commute. RIEMA will closely monitor the path of the storm overnight in case it changes direction and drops more snow than currently predicted.
