PROVIDENCE—Lt. Gov. Elizabeth H. Roberts will be joined by volunteers tomorrow, Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. to pack care packages being sent out by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor Roberts as part of Operation Holiday Cheer. The Operation Holiday Cheer program sends care packages to all Rhode Island troops stationed overseas during the holiday months. Last Saturday, Rhode Islanders dropped off their donations for the troops.
Operation Holiday Cheer is made possible through the generous corporate and community support of sponsors including: AAA of Southern New England, the American Red Cross Rhode Island Chapter, American Speedy Printing, Amica Insurance, Autocrat Coffee, Bank of America, Banneker Industries, the Boston Celtics, CVS Caremark, Dunkin' Donuts, Hasbro, Home Depot, National Grid, the New England Patriots, Ocean State Job Lot, the Providence Journal, and the United States Postal Service.
