October 31, 2012 Governor Lincoln Chafee will travel to Warren this morning to assess damage from Hurricane Sandy, meet with affected business owners and residents, and review recovery operations. Greg Esmay, owner of the Wharf Tavern, will host the Governor on site.

Governor Lincoln Chafee will travel to Matunuck to view damage on Matunuck Beach Road and Roy Carpenter's Beach. The Governor will arrive at approximately 9:15 a.m. (depending upon travel conditions).
Governor Lincoln Chafee will view storm damage and recovery operations in the Charlestown Beach Road area of Charlestown. The Governor should arrive at approximately 11:00 – 11:15 a.m., depending on road conditions.
Second- and third-shift state workers are advised to follow the Adverse Weather Policy in reporting for work later today. Workers may make individual decisions as to whether they are able to travel to work; those who do not report will be required to discharge personal or vacation time.
Governor Lincoln Chafee this morning will tour South County communities that sustained damage in Hurricane Sandy. The Governor will first travel to the Coast Guard House / Ocean Road area of Narragansett, going on to Matunuck, Charlestown, and Misquamicut. Timing and location details to follow.
