The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) wants to remind motorists that they should take the new Route 403 highway to this weekend’s R.I. National Guard Open House and Air Show, June 27-28, 2009.
Last October RIDOT opened the new highway between Route 4 and the Quonset Business Park as well as additional ramps during the winter months.
Motorists traveling on Route 4 South should use Exit 7B to access Route 403 toward Quonset. Those heading north on Route 4 can use Exit 7 for direct access to Route 403. This new ramp allows an all-highway route to the Park from the south as opposed to using local roads.
Upon leaving the Air Show, motorists can either use the ramp from Route 403 to Route 4 North or another new ramp, which provides access to Route 4 South from Route 403.
