At 7:30 PM, Troopers arrested Michael Canton, age 57, of 1510 Douglas Ave, North Providence RI for 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender originating out of the North Providence Police Department. The arrest was a result of Troopers responding to Harrington Hall, in the City of Cranston. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and turned over to the North Providence Police Department.
At 2:15 AM, Troopers arrested Jason Horta, age 41, of 35 Morgan Avenue APT B, North Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Affidavit Arrest Warrant originating from the Providence Police Department on the original charge of Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Chalkstone Avenue in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and transported to the Providence Police Department.
At 2:49 AM, Troopers arrested Tahlia Dorsey, age 36, of 215 Fruit Hill Avenue, North Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor or Drugs-1st Offense, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test- 1st Offense. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a motor vehicle crash on Route 6 East in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Sixth Division District Court date.
At 3:19 AM, Troopers arrested Tariq Famogun, age 25, of 82 Arthur Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for 1.) Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and held for morning arraignment at Sixth Division District Court to be presented as a probation violator.
