At 12:01 pm Troopers arrested Joseph McCain, age 31, of 3 Longbow Drive West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving No Application of License originating from the Warwick Police Department and 2.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Unauthorized Dissemination of Indecent Material originating from the Cumberland Police Department. This arrest was the result of Troopers checking on a disable motor vehicle on Route 95 south in the City of Warwick. Mr. McCain was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and turned over to the Cumberland Police Department.
At 12:40 am Troopers arrested Virtue Matthews, age 50, of 250 Moore Street Brooklyn, New York for Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance- 1st Offense (Psilocybin Edibles). This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Mr. Matthews was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released pending a future Third division District Court date.
